Reminiscence

We all have experienced a Madeleine de Proust : a sensory experience that triggers a rush of memories and emotions. the smell of morning dew will propably bring you back to the country side for instance. These sensations trigger a rush of memories, sometimes long gone or, even, seemingly forgotten. They bring up intense emotions.
Sensory memory is the perception of smell and taste information entering through the sensory cortices of the brain and relaying through the thalamus. It lasts only milliseconds and is outside CONSCIOUS AWARNESS. In other words, our Madeleine de Proust brings up intense emotions because of the lack of our awarness regulations.
